• Strong knowledge of
  • VLANs, STP, EtherChannel
  • OSPF (multi-area), BGP (basic)
  • ACLs, NAT, IPsec VPN
  • Network security best practices
• Hands-on experience with
  • Cisco Catalyst (9K series preferred)
  • Firewalls (Cisco ASA/FTD, FortiGate, Palo Alto – any)
  • Wi-Fi troubleshooting
• Familiar with
  • Change management
  • Network documentation & design diagrams

Requirements

Required Qualifications

• CCNA mandatory | CCNP (preferred)
• Strong troubleshooting & analytical skills
• Ability to work independently and handle escalations

Responsibilities

• Provide second-level support for complex network issues
• Troubleshoot LAN/WAN/WLAN issues end-to-end
• Configure, manage, and optimize network devices (routers, switches, firewalls)
• Implement and support routing protocols (OSPF, BGP – basic)
• Handle firewall rule creation, NAT, VPN troubleshooting
• Perform network changes, upgrades, and maintenance activities
• Analyze logs, packet captures, and performance issues
• Ensure compliance with security standards and STIGs (if applicable)
• Mentor L1 engineers and assist in root cause analysis (RCA)
• Coordinate with vendors, ISPs, and internal teams
